Providence Farm was established in 1994…

when Charles and Sarah Nunes sold their computer business in Houston, Tx. and moved to “the country” as a contractor with Tyson Foods, producing fertile eggs for the chicken meat industry.  “The country” is south central Texas in northern Gonzales County.

Providence Farm is also a cow/calf operation producing quality replacement heifers and bulls for others in the cattle business.  Our mother cows are a mix of Angus and Black Hereford cows yielding lean and tender superior beef for the consumer.

In 2020, Providence Farm branched out to produce “pasture-raised, grass fed, grass finished, no antibiotics, no hormones” quality beef for sale direct to the consumer. Our beef program calls for feeding grass that is grown and organically fertilized on our farm hay pastures.

Also in 2020, Providence Farm further upgraded the quality of beef by purchasing an Akaushi bull to breed to the Angus/Black Hereford cows. The progeny of this breeding will sire the world-famous Akaushi Wagyu mixed calves (grass fed, grass finished) which produce exceptional marbling, world class tenderness, superb flavorful taste along with healthier beef.
